KingSt Tauranga was engaged by Destination Rotorua to showcase the region in a way that has never been shown before. To set themselves apart from other tourism hot spots, we needed to create an engaging and compelling video that told the story of Rotorua and created an expectation of a meaningful experience at a world-class destination.
Using a mix of local talent and people visiting the destination, the story follows several groups and individuals as they experience the diverse range of activities available in Rotorua, from sunrise to sunset. Shot across six days, our team worked alongside the likes of UK-based Kiwi Director Daniel Nikolaison, Rotorua-based percussion musician Michael Barker and Te Arawa iwi members to capture the essence of Rotorua.
The end result is a moving and emotive destination story that has received more than 171 shares and 17,000 organic views in its first week. It also received national coverage in M+AD and received StopPress’ Ad of the Week.
